Like most high school senior guys they don’t like having their photo taken so when Marshall’s mom called about doing a session I told her about our mini sessions. She first mentioned wanting to do something for band & suggested using his marching uniform at the stadium, I asked what he played & after finding out hes a percussionist I asked if he had an old snare drum he wouldn’t mind getting wet. So when they showed up for the session with started outside because the sun was setting then moved into the studio to play with the snare. After getting a few dry shots with it we put some water on & started drumming. I found that setting my camera on a tripod & having him drum quickly & hard made the water go all over & I was able to get what I had envisioned & they loved it.
