I must admit I get a lot of moms who call about their son’s senior portraits where they don’t want a full session because they don’t like having their photo taken. I get it not everyone is comfortable in front of camera held by someone they have never met before. That was the case with Austen, so I suggested my mini session to his mom. Its a 45 minute session done at & around my studio & its perfect because we have enough time to do some fun things & they realize its not as bad as they think its going to be so it goes by quick. We even got a few photos with his dog outside the studio & a few of Austen smiling as its something that doesn’t come to easy for him. Are you graduating in 2018 & looking for Senior photos as unique as you, contact me to book your session today!
I was so excited when I got the call from Payton’s mom about photographing for her first year portraits. You forget how quickly a year goes by & how quickly a baby grows. I had the pleasure of photographing this little lady when she was about a month old & now she’s one! We started her session off by doing a few posed images, she wasn’t too sure of me & she really just wanted to explore my studio because what one year old wouldn’t want to find all the fun things to play with.
I always like to finish with the cake smash because its the messiest, I also like to ask if there is a theme for their party & I had way to much fun finding decorations for a twinkle twinkle little star themed smash. While Payton was a little hesitant at first she got a little more interested once she stepped in it, her parents decided to get into a few & help her eat the delicious cake from Cakes by Shelia!
Is your little one growing too fast, let me help by documenting their growth & celebrate their birthday. Contact me today to schedule your session.
When a client calls & asks if you can take photos at their farm always say yes but get their address to drive by to see which way it faces. When Austin’s mom called to set up his session & mentioned they had a farm I got a little excited. After driving to their house & noticed that it mostly faced east I knew we would have an early morning ahead of us. I set his session for 7 am on a Sunday in early October so we could start soon after the sun came up. Boy was it worth it, they had a lot of great areas to shoot in & we included their dog in a few & he had fun following us around. The other thing I realized while doing this session, only use the football stadium in the evening. Unfortunately when they called to schedule it Saturday evenings weren’t much of an option so we went with a morning. While the photos turned out ok, it was hard because the sun was in his face & made it uncomfortable for taking photos. Please we miss out on the nice often dramatic sunset. We wrapped things up in the studio with a yearbook photo & a few more jersey images & called it a day. Mom & dad sure had a hard time choosing images but they were so happy with the variety… Graduating in 2018 & looking for images that won’t disappoint? Contact me for more info & to book your session.
I got to meet this family last fall while our oldest played flag football together, then a few months ago we were at our school’s scoopie night & got talking about my work as a newborn photographer. I was so excited when they asked me to do their newest arrives photos! I don’t get to photograph as many newborns as I would like, I mean all the newborns ever, because you can never go wrong with baby cuddles. I told them to let me know when baby has arrived so we can schedule the session because I like them as new as possible, 5-10 days old is ideal because they don’t do much but sleep, eat & poop plus they are super squishy. Well this little guy did not disappoint & neither did big brother or the rest of the family. I started the session off with a few photos of big brother & then some with them together & family photos too. Followed by some photos of just him… I always like to ask when planning the session if there are any special requests for props or anything special they would like to include in the session, well mom asked for some bunny photos & they did not disappoint! Mom also brought a basket with his name that will be used in his nursery. If you’re expecting & are looking for a photography, please contact me to start planning your session today.
Baby K returned the end of January for his 4 month portraits & man he is cute! I love this age because they are so smiley & happy that I take so many pictures that it becomes hard for the family to choose their favorites. Can’t wait to see this guy again at 8 months & 1 year because I love watching & documenting how babies grow in their first year. If your expecting your own bundle of joy & are interested in milestone sessions please contact me to find out more.
