When I got the call from my good friend Alisha that Luke had asked her to marry him I started thinking of places to go for an engagement session. I have known Alisha since working at the Skatin’ Place in Janesville, WI in high school & she has lived in Minneapolis since she started college at University of Minnesota. So for the past 10+ years I have been going up every so often to visit & hang out. After scouring Pinterest for ideas on locations & taking into mind Luke’s business of landscaping I wanted a few scenic locations. Luckily the first location was Luke’s idea & you would almost never know it is a cemetery!
Next stop was Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, MN, who knew they had waterfalls in Minneapolis!
Lastly we went to the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis with the idea of getting photos of them with the bridge & skyline behind & our adventure took an unsuspecting turn. I was leading the way to the area I thought many of people had gone to get the awesome shots I had envisioned only to realize the vantage point I thought I needed was wrong but we found a few wooded spots on the nearby islands that worked out great! We ended with a couple shots on the bridge with the sun setting behind us.
Maybe for the wedding we can get the shots we missed at the bridge!
